Custom Machines & Automation: |
SELCO Engineering has the capability to design and build complete automated (or semi-automated) assembly lines. This includes both synchronous and asynchronous lines utilizing indexing, walking beam, and power and free conveying means. Assembly lines typically include a combination of assembly and test stations. Assembly stations may be either manual or fully automated, including the staging and material handling of all parts or sub components. Test stations typically verify assembly and function of the completed or partially completed assembly. This testing can consist of mechanical function, electrical function, part presence, and gauging.
SELCO is capable of working with our clients to re-design or re-tool existing assembly lines to provide additional life out of your existing investment. This includes complete line retrofits or individual station retrofits or re-builds.
In addition to the direct mechanical and electrical controls required to implement medium to large assembly lines and systems, SELCO’s broad integration experience enables us to provide a fully integrated solution. By using higher level SCADA systems, SELCO can tightly integrate your new assembly system with existing plant systems including production monitoring and control systems. SELCO can also develop database tracking systems to enable the tracking and historical archiving of actual part assembly data (such as: time & date, part lot numbers, fastener torque values, press forces value, and dimensional gauging results).
